PARKING- There is plenty of parking in and around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Race fans can park in the infield, in the coke lot, other designated parking fields immediately north of the track and also to the west of the track.  Parking is also available in the neighborhoods immediately surrounding the track. Nearly all residents who live within a mile of the speedway look forward to race day, because it is an excellent opportunity for them to make money parking cars in their yards, and have fun at the same time.  Typically you can find a homeowner within a few blocks of the speedway who will let you park your car in their yard for the day for $20.00 or less.  They will watch your vehicle while you’re gone and you can be reasonably assured it will be there when you return.  Vandalism is bad for business and believe us, they are in the parking business.
