Danica Patrick is the fourth woman in history to race in the Indianapolis 500 mile race, and the only one to have ever led it. Complimenting that success, she won the Indy Japan 300 in 2008 making her the first, and so far the only, woman to have won an Indy Car race. Though she has yet to win the Indy 500, many believe she has the team and the skill necessary to do it. She finished 3rd at Indy in 2009, behind Helio Castroneves and runner up Dan Weldon....

Sarah Fisher
Sarah Fisher is an American Racing legend having raced in more Indianapolis 500 Mile races than any other woman driver in history. Although the Columbus Ohio native was the third woman to have ever raced at Indy, she was first in many other respects. At 19 she was the youngest woman driver to ever run at Indy. Also, at age 19, Sarah was the first woman to ever ascend to the podium after her 3rd place finish at Kentucky Speedway. At 28 she was the youngest female team owner in Indy Car history....

Bea, as she is most often called, was born March 18, 1985 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She began her racing career in go-karts in her native country at the age of 8 and graduated to the Firestone Indy Lights series in 2008 where she became the first woman to ever win a race of that series. She won at Kansas Speedway on July 12, 2008 and again at Iowa Speedway in 2009. She qualified for her first Indy Car race in 2010. She started 21st and finished 30th.....

Simona de Silvestro is a Swiss race car driver from Thun, Switzerland. She raced for Team Stargate Worlds in the Atlantic Championship in 2008 and 2009. She won the Atlantic race at the 2008 Long Beach Grand Prix, making her the second woman to win in that racing series. She won 4 times during the 2009 season and led in points for most of the season. She ultimately finished 3rd in the standings after retiring on the first lap during the season finale at Laguna Seca....

Lyn St. James
Evelyn Gene Cornwall (Lyn St. James) was born on March 13, 1947 in Willoughby, Ohio to Alfred and Maxine Cornwall. Lyn attended the Andrews School for Girls and earned a piano teaching certificate. She married John Carusso, a Florida businessman, at the age of 23 and the couple pursued their love of racing while participating in the Sports Car Club of America racing events. Lyn and John both raced their own cars and Lyn was named the SSCA Florida regional champion in 1976 and again in 1977.....

Janet Guthrie
Janet Guthrie was the first woman to ever qualify and compete in the Indianapolis 500. She was a rookie driver in 1977 where she finished 29th after suffering engine trouble that forced her out of the race. She finished 11th at Indy in 1978. She qualified for and raced in the Indianapolis 500 for five consecutive years. In 1976 she became the first woman to have ever qualified for and raced in a NASCAR Winston Cup super speedway race and the first woman to have ever raced in the Daytona 500.....
